Gov. Christ Vetoes Ultrasound Bill in Florida

By newsdesk ~ June 11th, 2010 @ 7:31 PM Comments Off

According to Gov. Charlie Crist “This bill places an inappropriate burden on women seeking to terminate a pregnancy,” Crist wrote in a one-page letter to Dawn Roberts, interim secretary at the Florida Department of State, explaining his veto. “Individuals hold strong personal views on the issue of life, as do I. However, personal view should not result in laws that unwisely expand the role of government and coerce people to obtain medical tests or procedures that are not medically necessary.
In this case, such action would violate a woman’s right to privacy.

First, Gov. Christ, has shot his self in the foot.
His so-called “prolife” following will not tolerate the wavering on the bill that would have saved so many innocent lives and spared so many unsuspecting women from years of pain and shame.

Second, this bill in no way violates a woman’s right to privacy. It only required she have an ultrasound before the procedure was finalized.
Having an ultrasound would in no more violate her privacy than her visiting an abortion clinic and signing their waivers.
This is a political smokescreen to attempt to save his neck, but this is his own undoing of his office.

It appears he has been listening to the rabid pro-aborts from NARAL and PLANNED PARENTHOOD rather than listening to the moral clarity of God’s word or will for his life.

He went on to say,
“There are many medical or fiscal barriers that could be placed upon a woman in order to prevent her from following through on her constitutionally protected decision to end a pregnancy.
However, such measures do not change hearts, which is the only true and effective way to ensure that a new life coming into the world is loved, cherished, and receives the care that is deserved.”

Finally, this is where Gov. Christ is so wrong. Ultrasound does change their heart. I know. I operated an ultrasound-based pregnancy resource center next door to an abortion center for three years.

During those three years, 1,600 women from “next door” came to us for the free ultrasound. 1,300 chose life for their baby and chose not to follow through with the abortion.

This same change-rates are happening day-by-day in each ultrasound-equipped PRC. Seeing the baby kicking, sqirming, sucking his or her thumb speaks volumes to the woman who is in a panic fear mode.
She can’t think of having “it” while she is in the dark, but whe nthe lights turn on and show her a living child inside her womb, 90% change their heart and mind.

It is sad, Gov. Christ is so blind to this truth.

I pray God’s forgiveness of his soul for the blood that will be on his hands in Florida.

We have seen Obama behind the teleprompter giving his perfectly scripted responses. We have seen Obama without his teleprompter unable to complete a sentence without uh and om. The recent Gallop poll shows that 80% of Americans distrust this congress.

Sarah Palin on the other hand doesn’t depend on the teleprompter or even use note cards. She speaks from her heart and resonates with Americans. Her polls show that she has a higher rating than the left could ever dream of.

Her sharp, country-girl from next door approach is anti-feminism to the max. Yet, she is very accomplished as a woman. Bottom line is this: she drives the left crazy. The entertaining socialists hate her with a passion but they can’t stop her.

Obama offers us socialism. Sarah Palin offers us freedom!

From where I see it: Go girl!

What happened in the Scott Brown/Martha Coakley race is a victory for the people of the United States of America.

The Mass election results have sent a signal heard around the world that public support for healthcare reform is weaker than Democrats had assumed! It is now in the hands of Scott Brown to bring balance back to Washington.

The headlines a few hours ago asked “Will Scott Brown take away Senate Democrats’ 60th vote?” The answer: a resounding “YES!” Tonight’s election is a resounding victory for conservatism. The election of Scott Brown is a bazooka that has been shot right through the legs of Obama, Clinton and the other “progressive” socialists. If this level of voter outrage can transform the nation’s most liberal state, I believe other heads are going to role in upcoming elections.

If America can win in the bluest of all states, we can win the rest of the country back. America wants change. Not the kind of socialist change Obama is forcing upon us. Instead, America is ready for real change. To take America back to common sense and proud conservative roots.

It is obvious that the one’s most shaken by this election outcome is the abortion industry. Planned Parent and Naral have been posting press release after press release demanding immediate passage of the healthcare bill. WHY? because it is filled with insured abortion funding should it pass.

Planned Parenthood has just invested heavily in building its supercenter in Houston, Tx to become a full late-term abortion facility based on the promised increased abortion funding in the health care bill. They can’t afford to lose the healthcare bill!

America tonight is a wonderful night. The other side is running scared. They are now frantic. The hand-writing is on the wall. Their days are numbered.

I am a concerned citizen of America who, for the past 62 years have watched America go down the toilet.  This week while the G-20 Summit was being held in Pittsburg, PA, peaceful protesters were attacked viciously and maliciously turning the streets of Pittsburg into nothing less than China’s Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.  I never dreamed I would see the government of my nation fall so far left.  I never dreamed  my country was so close to becoming a socialist ditatorship.  View this: Peaceful Demonstrations Attacked in Pittsburg PA and then tell me if this is what America is supposed to look like?
